AXS STRUCTURAL treatments are designed around the individual rather than a predetermined protocol.
Each session is guided by your symptoms, clinical findings, structural pattern and response to treatment.

Every new adult patient begins with a 90-minute Advanced Structural Evaluation & Treatment.
This extended first appointment allows enough time to understand your history, examine the problem in depth, identify relevant structural relationships and begin treatment during the same session.
The objective is not simply to assess the area that hurts, but to build a clear clinical picture of the factors that may be contributing to your symptoms and to define the most appropriate treatment strategy from the outset.
The session includes:
* detailed clinical history
* structural and functional assessment
* targeted physical examination
* identification of relevant patterns of tension, restriction and compensation
* clinical reasoning and treatment planning
* initial AXS Structural Treatment
* reassessment of your response during the session
Why 90 minutes?
Complex musculoskeletal problems often cannot be understood properly in a rushed consultation.
AXS STRUCTURAL deliberately reserves more time for the first visit so that assessment and treatment can be carried out with the level of precision the method requires.
This format is particularly appropriate for patients with persistent, recurrent or longstanding problems, but it is also the standard first appointment for adults presenting with a new complaint.

Childhood and adolescence are periods of rapid growth, movement development and constant physical adaptation.
During these years, postural habits, sports, growth spurts, previous injuries and repetitive daily activities can contribute to patterns of tension, restriction and compensation that may become increasingly established over time.
An early structural evaluation provides an opportunity to identify these patterns before they become more deeply ingrained.
The aim is not to “correct” a growing child into a fixed posture. It is to assess how the musculoskeletal system is developing, how movement is being organised, and whether avoidable restrictions or compensations are beginning to appear.
The 60-minute first visit may include:
* age-appropriate clinical history
* posture and movement assessment
* mobility and functional screening
* evaluation of areas of tension, restriction or asymmetry
* review of relevant sporting, school or lifestyle factors
* treatment where clinically appropriate
* practical guidance for movement, exercise and self-management
Why assess early?
The earlier we understand how a young body is adapting, the greater the opportunity to support healthy movement and reduce the accumulation of unnecessary compensatory patterns.

All AXS STRUCTURAL consultations and treatments are currently conducted by Dr Manuel Baruzzi, with the support of trained team members working under his direct supervision.
This collaborative approach combines Dr Baruzzi’s clinical experience and expertise with the developing skills of the AXS team, ensuring that every patient benefits from individualised assessment, targeted treatment and consistent clinical oversight.
As our practitioners progress through their training, AXS STRUCTURAL will gradually introduce additional practitioner-led appointments, while maintaining the clinical standards and treatment philosophy of the AXS Method.
AXS STRUCTURAL operates as a clinician-led treatment system rather than a single-practitioner practice.

Your response is checked during the session. Changes in pain, mobility, tension or movement help guide the next clinical decision.

AXS STRUCTURAL may integrate different treatment techniques according to clinical need.
These may include:

AXS is not defined by any single technique. The method lies in how the patient’s structural pattern is assessed, interpreted and treated.

Persistent or recurrent musculoskeletal symptoms, including neck, back, shoulder, hip and other mechanical pain presentations.
POSTURE
Structural adaptations, restricted mobility, movement asymmetries and patterns of mechanical compensation.
PERFORMANCE
Movement efficiency, recovery, recurrent overload and physical limitations affecting sport or everyday function.
Symptoms are assessed individually. When findings suggest that a problem may require medical investigation or care outside the scope of AXS STRUCTURAL, appropriate referral will be recommended.

UNDER 18?
Book the 60-minute Paediatric & Adolescent Structural Evaluation.
This first visit is designed to assess posture, movement, mobility and early compensatory patterns during growth and development.
Returning patient — FOCUSED problem?
Choose the Focused Structural Treatment if you are continuing an established treatment plan or need targeted treatment for a relatively specific problem.
Returning patient — COMPLEX or multi-region problem?
Choose the Extended Structural Treatment when more time is required to address persistent, complex or multi-region structural patterns.
